Ihme research

Matthias Ihme is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering a the University of Michigan. He received a BSc. degree in 2000 from the Munich University of Applied Sciences and a MSc. degree in 2002 from the Friedrich-Alexander University Nuremberg/Erlangen, Germany.

In October 2007, he graduated from Stanford with a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, where he was working with Heinz Pitsch on the modeling of turbulent reactive flows using large-eddy simulation, radiation and predictoinof nitric oxide formation, and the modeling of combustion-generated noise.

His current research interests are the prediction of turbulent reactive flows, flamelet modeling, scalar mixing, and aeroacoustics.

Ihme is a Faculty Fellow.
