Research

Phillip Savage is the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Chemical Engineering.

His research experience and interests include: using water and supercritical fluids for sustainable production of chemicals, materials, and energy; hydrogen production from biomass by gasification in supercritical water; biodiesel production from plant oils via reactions in water and supercritical fluids; “green” chemical synthesis in high-temperature water; and nanoparticle synthesis in high-temperature water.

Phillip Savage is a MMPEI Faculty Fellow.
