Tariq Shamim
Dr. Shamim is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
He earned his doctorate in mechanical engineering and a master’s in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. He received a second master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada, and holds his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the N.E.D. University in Karachi.
Dr. Shamim’s current research interests focus on computational thermo-fluids with major emphasis on combustion, emission control, fuel cell, and thermal spray. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Department of Defense, and the automotive industry.
