Max Shtein
Max Shtein is an expert in organic semiconductor device growth and characterization, with an experimental and theoretical background in kinetics, heat and mass transport. He is actively developing new organic and hybrid photovoltaic and light-emitting device architectures (e.g. load-bearing energy harvesting materials, subwavelength optical microscopy tools), as well as methods and tools for their fabrication.
Prof. Shtein has received the Materials Research Society Graduate Student Gold Medal Award in 2001, the PRISM-Newport Award of Excellence and Leadership in Photonics and Optoelectonics in 2004, and the Jon R. and Beverly S. Holt Awards for Excellence in Teaching in 2007.
In December of 2008. Max Shtein received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE)
Max Shtein is a MMPEI Faculty Fellow.
