Jing Sun
Jing Sun received her Ph. D degree from University of Southern California in 1989, and has been with the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (with a dry appointment with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) since 2003.
She worked in the automotive industry for 10 years before joining the faculty at the University of Michigan. She holds over 30 US patents and has co-authored a textbook on Robust Adaptive Control. She is an IEEE Fellow and one of the three recipients of the 2003 IEEE Control System Technology Award.
Her research is focused on control and optimization of integrated power systems, with a particular emphasis on those targeted for marine and automotive propulsion applications.
Jing Sun is a MMPEI Faculty Fellow.
