Thomas Wenisch joined the University of Michigan in the Fall of 2007 as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Engineering.

Tom's research focus is in the area of computer architecture, with emphasis on enterprise data center architecture.

His energy-related research centers on increasing data center energy efficiency by improving the information technology, power delivery, and cooling infrastructure.

Prior to his academic career, he worked in software development at American Power Conversion, a company specializing in IT power and cooling infrastructure.

Tom received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Thomas Wenisch is a MMPEI Faculty Fellow.
